Learning Resource Centre (LRC)

 

Opening Times

The LRC is open from 8am until 4.15pm Monday to Thursday and from 8am to 3.15pm on Friday. Anyone can use the LRC before school, at morning break, at lunchtime and after school. Post 16 students can use the LRC during the school day in their study periods.

Resources

There are approximately 14,000 books in the LRC as well as DVDs, journals and daily newspapers.

There are 46 networked computers with internet access.

The LRC averages 900 student visits a day.

Facilities

The LRC contains spaces suitable for group collaborative study, individual private study, quiet reading and class visits. In addition the LRC manages a separate post 16 private study room containing a further 8 computers. Students have access to black & white or colour printing.

Staff

The LRC is staffed by: LRC Manager Helen Foxall and LRC Assistants Gill Patel and Christine Gerrard. There is always a member of staff available during opening hours.
