School Dress Code from Sept 2009
College dress code from September 2009
School uniform will be phased in, with year 10 wearing the new uniform from September 2009. Following further consultation with year 9 students, there was a strong preference for a ‘smart and businesslike’ model. The new logo will be prominent on the uniform. With year 10 students wearing a formal and non-negotiable uniform, we are keen to raise the overall standard of dress and the student council have contributed to the formulation of the dress code for year 11, 12 and 13. Here are the key points for students from 3 September 2009:
Year 10 - Rawlins navy blue blazer, Rawlins tie, white shirt/blouse, plain black trousers (not denim) or black knee length skirt (not denim), black footwear (no colour or logos). Optional: navy blue Rawlins pullover/cardigan/slipover
Years 11, 12 and 13 - Students must be suitably dressed for work. All are encouraged to wear school uniform however this is not mandatory. Students who choose not to wear uniform must wear clothing that is clean, smart and does not cause embarrassment (by being too revealing) or offence to others. Dress should therefore be modest and logos or writing on clothing should be unobtrusive and inoffensive. Examples of appropriate wear: trousers, skirt, shirt, blouse, polo shirt, cardigan, pullover
Jewellery (all years) - One small stud may be worn in each ear and nose – no other facial or body piercing is permitted. Other jewellery must be discreet, and safe
Hair (all years) - Hair colour should be natural

All students must adhere to the uniform/dress code – those who arrive in school inappropriately dressed will be given spare uniform or sent home to change (with parents’ knowledge).
